Metcon was established in 1995 in Aspropyrgos, Attica. The facilities are located in an area of 28,000 sq. meters, which serves as container terminal(container depot). Over time, our core values of dependability, dedication, initiative, ingenuity, relationship development and continuous improvement have remained key to how we operate our business.
Metcon’s fleet consists of 30 cooperative and 11 private trucks with more than 60 different types of trailers.

Why choose us
In Metcon we believe that properly insuring freight, in conjunction with good physical risk management, is an important way to manage the financial impact of loss or damage. All transports performed by our company have insured value up to 70,000 euros per container and 5869.41 per empty container.
There is insurance coverage for cargo theft – fire in the terminal up to the amount of 400,000 euros.
Our company possesses licence for transport of non-hazardous waste for the regions of Attica, Thessaly, Epirus – W. Macedonia, Central Greece, Peloponnese – W. Greece and the Ionian Sea for all cooperating cars.

Waste management
Proper management of the company’s waste is essential for enviromental protection in the transport field. Our company collaborates with certified conservancies of Collecting Lucricants, Oils and Batteries to avoid enviromental contamination.
In the fleet that Metcon Hellenic Transport employs are tipping container trailers, short trucks for the transport of overhigh cargo, retrackable 20/40 trailers for all the special heavy load transports and larger dimensions than the conventional cargo and floor trucks. In addition to the above, there are also telescopic cranes and crane vehicles with lifting force from 8 to 600 tons. Our vehicles also have ADR certificates and the personnel working in those are eligible for the most hazard classes of ADR.
Additional depot in Thessaloniki in Nea Symmachiki street with suitable equipment of lifting and empltying containers to offer as fully-featured services as possible at minimum cost.
